Braintree Caucus Information

The Braintree Democratic Town Committee is hosting a virtual caucus on July 17th at 10 AM to elect Delegates and Alternates to the 2021 Massachusetts Democratic Party Convention.  The meeting will open at 9:30 AM and start at 10:15 AM.  Braintree Democrats may register for the caucus at

Braintree is allotted 19 Delegates and 4 Alternates.  All registered Braintree Democrats and pre-registered Democrats who turned 16 by June 15, 2021 are allowed to participate. Youths, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are not elected at the caucus may apply to be an Add-on Delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org by August 6, 2021.

Delegates and Alternates elected at the Braintree Caucus must be available all day on September 25th to attend the Massachusetts Democratic Party Convention at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, either in person or virtually.  They will join Democrats from across Massachusetts to adopt a Party platform.  The convention will follow all federal, state, and local health guidelines.  Please contact kathytuffy@braintreedems.org for questions about accessibility accommodations.
